If you are heading into the centre of Antibes from your luxury villa you will find a walled city with Greek origins. If art is of interest, the Musée Picasso is not to be missed. Picasso spent 1946 painting in this chateau in Antibes and he later gave the museum all the work he had done here. Walk out into the sculpture garden and you will struggle to not see how he was inspired by the sea view in the distance. You can’t miss the big green sign but be warned it may be a little blurry on your way back out!

Sharing the peninsula is Juan-les-Pins, another Riviera neighbourhood, just slightly further afield. It’s possible to get here by foot along the coast from the centre of Antibes. Juan-les-Pins offers a wide choice of lively café terraces, good-quality restaurants and some trendy beach bars and clubs that come alive during the long summer months. Juan-les-Pins is also famous for its annual jazz festival, ‘Jazz à Juan’, which since the 1920s has attracted giants of the genre. The event occurs every July and is one of the most significant events on the European jazz calendar.
