Famous for its nightlife, it’s the less-well-known side of this island that is the real draw. The luxury villas in Ibiza offer a base from which to explore this stunningly beautiful destination, with fascinating flora and fauna and a lovely coastline boasting more than 50 beaches.
Head to the north-east coast to see the wild, unspoilt side of the island, but don’t be put off the towns altogether. The capital, Ibiza Town, has some stunning architecture and gorgeous cafes from which to sample the delicious local dishes (don’t miss the squid) while watching the world go by on a luxury villa holiday.
A stay in one of our beautiful, luxury villas away from the crowds of hedonistic clubbers, the idyllic, rural heart of Ibiza beats on. Most visitors flock to the hotspots of San Antonio, Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town, but there are many quiet and charming areas to explore, particularly in the northeast of the island.
This Balearic island has been a pleasure seekers’ destination since hippies arrived in the sixties. They fell in love with its wild, rocky coastline, sheltered sandy coves and dense woodlands. The charming little villages with whitewashed churches, fragrant olive groves and elegant fincas are still there to be discovered.
Ibiza has a buzzing nightlife, with clubs and bars ranging from rustic shacks to mega-clubs, but there is much more to the island than that. Ibiza Town, the island’s capital, has beautiful architecture and winding back streets filled with restaurants to explore whilst on a luxury villa holiday here.
Over half the island is covered in pine forest, and there are more than fifty beaches, some only accessible by boat. The northeast is known for its unspoilt rural beauty, and the hippy vibe lives on at Es Cana market, and the Sunday drumming parties on Benirras beach.
Ibiza has a typically Mediterranean climate. It is generally dry and mild during the winter months with low rainfall. In the summer months of July and August, daytime temperatures typically get into the mid-30s.
We love the laid-back yet chic Mediterranean vibe of Ibiza. Just meander around the craggy coastline from cove to cove, eating fresh squid and soaking up the sun.
The island has an airport southwest of Ibiza Town, named Ibiza Airport (IBZ).
It’s all about fresh ingredients and strong simple flavours in this Mediterranean paradise. There’s nothing to beat freshly cooked paella at one of Ibiza’s many wonderful beach bars and restaurants for a lazy lunch out of your luxury villa. Featuring whatever meat, game or seafood has been caught that day, it has many variations. You can eat like a king in Ibiza, indulging in the famed hospitality, our first choice is a succulent ray fresh from the ocean.
There are numerous excellent restaurants scattered around the island, offering everything from sublime sophistication to rustic simplicity. Local Ibizan dishes include delicious fish stews and aromatic pork dishes.
Try La Paloma in Sant Llorenc – a highly regarded family restaurant serving local specialities, or Bambuddha Grove in Santa Eulalia for an Oriental flavour. For a classic taste of Ibiza, go to Es Bigotes, a famous seaside shack where the freshest fish stews are made from the catch of the day.
Or if you prefer to dine in, have whatever your heart desires in one of our luxury villas with a private chef.
We always get you the best possible price from our property owners. Prices often include extras such as private drivers for the duration of your stay. Check the property page or get in touch to find out what is included in the price.
