The chalet is set in a ski-in/ski-out position, giving you access to the very best of the renowned Three Valleys ski area and a gondola that can whisk you up to the mountains within minutes. Snow bunnies can get straight out on the snow each morning and ski all the way back to their door when they’re ready to collapse in front of the fire with a glass of bubbly.
The chalet itself is beautifully decorated in a modern rustic style with a palette of beautiful neutrals and richly textured fabrics to bring a truly cosy feel. From each faux fur throw to every cotton pillowcase, only the most sumptuous materials have been chosen for Chez Bugi.
The open-plan sitting space has at its heart a spectacular fireplace and capacious corner sofa that just makes you want to stretch out and sigh. Canapés are served here each evening while you catch up with the rest of your party. A flatscreen TV with satellite and DVD library as well as stacks of board games makes this a very cosy space to kick back in after a day out on the mountains of the Three Valleys.
Nearby is a sociable dining area with impossibly comfy chairs and overlooked by a statement chandelier, where you and your party will enjoy fabulous meals prepared by your chef long into the evenings.
The dining space opens out onto the outdoor terrace, home to a fabulous seating area with views out onto the mountains, as well as a hot tub – the perfect spot to escape to with a drink and sink into the bubbles to ease slopes-weary legs after a long day.
Then it’s off to luxe bedrooms for a night of deep sleep. Wood clad walls, crisp white linens and textured cushions and throws bring a contemporary Alpine style to the sleeping quarters at Chalet Chez Bugi and a promise of sweet, snowy dreams all night long.

St Martin de Belleville is a peaceful and pretty village in the 3 Valleys. The centre of the village is home to a beautiful baroque church and market place, surrounded by bars, restaurants and boutique shops.

Catering
To ensure your complete relaxation here, a personal chef will be on hand to cater to your entire party’s needs. Locally sourced, seasonal ingredients are used wherever possible to create menus that are always imaginative and never disappoint. The chef uses a wonderful local butcher, artisan bakery and several local cheese suppliers to ensure only the best ingredients make it to your table. They are keen supporters of local farmers and cooperatives, too, and there is a thriving food scene in the area.
Each morning, a range of cereals, fruit, porridge, yoghurt and freshly baked artisan breads and pastries are ready and waiting for you when you emerge from your luxury bedroom. On five mornings, a hot special is available – anything from American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, to eggs benedict – you can discuss options with your chef beforehand.
When you return from the slopes, afternoon tea is ready and waiting in the dining area, with lashings of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and piles of freshly baked cakes, breads, jams and pastries. Don’t overindulge too much though as dinner here is always a treat.
Canapés and aperitifs at the fireside kickstart the evening, before dinner is served on five evenings. The focus here is on wonderful food and great flavours and your chef will be pleased to tailor menus to your party’s particular likes and dislikes. Dinner is always rounded off with a French cheeseboard and coffee and petit fours. Carefully chosen premium wines accompany each course.
The chalet is within easy reach of many a great restaurant, too. The centre of St Martin de Belleville is home to popular lunchtime eateries such as Le Montagnard and La Ferme de la Choumette. There are also great mountain lunch spots – Les Cretes is a favourite of ours. It’s well worth making the trip to the nearby village of St Marcel to eat at the three-Michelin-starred La Bouitte, which serves fabulous food in a modern farmhouse setting.

High teas are available for younger visitors to enable grown-ups to enjoy a more leisurely meal post-bedtime and to allow children to have a more relaxed meal, designed for younger palates at a time more suitable for them.
The chalet is stocked with a children’s DVD library and games to keep them busy when they aren’t out on the slopes and the staff will also be happy to arrange outdoor activities to appeal to kids including husky sleigh riding and tobogganing.
High chairs, car seats and cots can all be available on request and staff can also arrange creche places, nannies and babysitters so that whether you fancy an evening out on the town or a bit of child-free skiing time it’s never a problem.
