Its elevated position affords guests amazing panoramic views from almost every angle. The interiors are modern and pared back, designed in rich woods and natural material to bring warmth and charm.
The open-plan living areas easily accommodate 10 adults and four children. Vaulted ceilings and huge windows flood the space with light during the day and by night, it becomes a sophisticated spot in which to enjoy drinks with friends and stare out as the mountain darkens. At one end of the main living area is a large seating space to relax in with corner sofas; at the other is a contemporary kitchen where you can warm your chef’s meals or spend time cooking yourself with local and seasonal ingredients. Between them is a modern dining space with statement chairs gathered around a refectory-style table.
While the open-plan rooms are wonderful for gathering in with friends and family, Chalet Spencer also offers plenty of space to break out, too. The property has a welcoming bar and TV room for any lovers of games. A capacious swing seat on the landing is just the spot to relax alone with the papers and a glass of wine, looking out onto the mountains.
Outdoor space is not forgotten either, with two terraces; one with outdoor dining area, and the lower terrace with relaxed lounging areas, hot tub and a panoramic sauna with a bubble window to allow you to enjoy the views.
Five double bedrooms and one quad bunk room, all with en-suite bathrooms and plenty of little luxuries, make bedtimes something everyone will look forward to. Sweet dreams guaranteed.
Location
Chalet Spencer is a luxury ski chalet in Chatel, perched up high, with fabulous 360-degree views of the mountain ranges.
The nearest lift is Petit Chatel and, from there, you can reach the whole of the Portes du Soleil. Your contactless catering booking will include an in-resort driver service for one return trip per day. Additionally, there is a bus stop not far from the chalet, approximately 50m away, to take you to the centre of Chatel or to the Linga and Pre-la-Joux ski areas.
The nearest airport is Geneva, 1.5 hours away.

Chalet Spencer offers a contactless catering service, making your stay just a little more relaxing. Each morning, a breakfast of fresh Viennese pastries alongside other hot and cold treats will be delivered directly to your chalet. For lunch, you might like to take the opportunity to explore the area’s bars and restaurants. Then a chef will prepare your evening meals for you off site, delivering you delicious dinners that can simply be warmed in the oven whenever you’re ready for them. Traditional Savoyard specialities, such as raclette, can also be arranged for special occasions. The chalet team will be in touch with you prior to your arrival to discuss menus.
Chalet Spencer can also be taken on a completely self-catered basis too if you prefer.

Kids
This family-friendly luxury ski chalet makes a great base from which to explore Chatel with kids in tow. The open-plan spaces offer plenty of space to play but also mean it’s easy to keep an eye on little ones.
There’s plenty in the chalet to keep children busy, from the outdoor hot tub for older kids and teens, to the cinema room where they can cosy up for an afternoon matinee. There’s even a swing seat on one of the landings – the perfect place for reading a favourite book with views of the mountains.
At bedtime, kids will love to snuggle down in the quad bunk room, a wonderful space to make their own, and rest up ready for more adventures in the morning. Bedroom 5 and the quad bunk room make up a great family suite.
