Description

Combining traditional chalet style with contemporary design, Chalet Ulysse is as practical as it is beautiful and makes for a wonderful bolthole for a group of family and friends.

This luxury ski chalet in Zermatt stands proudly in one of the town’s most prestigious areas, with stunning views of the Matterhorn. For most of the season and with its great location, it’s possible to ski almost right back to the front door (within 200m). Additionally it is just a five-minute stroll to the nearest gondola, meaning you are perfectly placed to enjoy the best of the area’s skiing, and will never waste a moment getting out on the mountain.

The property is made up of a main chalet accommodating eight people and a self-contained apartment for four, giving 12 of you, lots of flexibility. The separate apartment would be ideal for grandparents, older teens or another family joining your party.

Inside, Ulysse has a laid-back feel with light woods and a neutral palette which brings a relaxed atmosphere. The main living space, with its L-shaped sofa, cow-hide armchairs and a roaring fire, is the cosy heart of the chalet and somewhere you’ll all love to gather for afternoon tea or evening drinks after a day out on the mountain. A second living space on the ground floor works as a TV room; somewhere that’s a bit of a break-out zone or a spot for the kids to kick back while the adults catch up.

An open-plan kitchen and dining room is a social space where you can linger over long, leisurely meals, enjoying your chef’s creations and the chalet’s excellent wine list, and sit and enjoy the sunshine pouring in over breakfast, too.

On snowy afternoons, after you’ve kicked off your ski gear in the ski room and left your boots gently warming, head to the wellness room to enjoy the sauna and rainfall shower or book yourself in for a relaxing massage or beauty treatment and feel the stresses of everyday life melt away.

At the end of each busy day, retire to Alpine-style bedrooms and incredibly comfy beds for sweet dreams and deep sleeps to fuel tomorrow’s snowy adventures.
