This luxury seven-bedroom villa sits in hilltop Gordes, previously voted the most beautiful village in the world. You’ll find total peace and privacy thanks to the lofty position high above the valley and private two-hectare grounds surrounded by lavender fields, cypresses and olive groves.
There’s a strong focus on art. Guests can follow the ‘art path’ of 40 private works, and even the eye-catching two-tiered swimming pool is artist-designed. Find a secluded garden nook where you can settle down with a good book, take leisurely al fresco breakfasts surrounded by big skies and watch classic movies under the stars at the outdoor cinema.
Designed by Provence-born Jérémie du Chaffaut, this luxury villa celebrates the region’s heritage and adds a modern-luxe touch. Made up of three separate – and equally charming – buildings, the ‘bastide’ has been renovated to perfection. The all-glass summer lounge is a gloriously sunny spot with 180-degree views over the Luberon, while the winter living room is a snug space to curl up and spend cooler evenings by the fire.
Alongside the seven en-suite bedrooms (including a family suite with kids’ dorm), you’ll find a gym, yoga studio and wellness area complete with sauna and Hammam at Les Hauts de Gordes, Provence. During your luxury villa holiday, be sure to make use of ‘Kate’… the property’s electric mini car, which is at your disposal throughout.
Location
Les Hauts de Gordes overlooks the Luberon valley in Provence’s beautiful hilltop village of Gordes, with its storybook streets and local eateries.
If lavender field visits are on your spring/summer agenda, the iconic purple haze at Sénanque Abbey lies just north of Gordes. There are also two golf courses and a number of biking trails nearby.
The closest airport is Marseilles, approximately one hour away. If you’re travelling by rail, Aix TGV and Avignon TGV are both also around an hour’s drive.

Catering
Take leisurely breakfasts of strong coffee, fresh fruit and flaky pastries while gazing out over the Luberon; sip pre-dinner drinks by the glistening waters of the swimming pool; and enjoy mouth-watering dinners rustled up in the outdoor kitchen long into the evening. This is a place to savour quality mealtimes together.
For the months of June, July and August, and on six days of the seven, your talented chef will create mouth-watering lunches or dinners and take any special dietary requirements (and requests) into consideration to create menus that reflect your wishes perfectly.
On chef’s day off, take your pick of cooking in the outdoor kitchen or the modern open-plan indoor kitchen, then gather together for al fresco feasts.
There’s also the chance to dine out in nearby Gordes, and your house manager will be able to share some local gems with you.
