Description

Bright, modern and very cosy indeed, this luxury ski chalet, the Penthouse Annyvonne, in Zermatt is a wonderful base from which to explore everything this fabulous resort has to offer.

Penthouse Annyvonne, Zermatt, is perched on the top floor of a typically Swiss-style building, looking out across the pretty rooftops and steeples to the Matterhorn beyond. The location couldn’t be more central, being just steps from the slopes as well as the shops and eateries of Zermatt, so you’ll never waste a moment getting to where you want to be.

Inside, open-plan living spaces make for very sociable accommodation. There’s always somewhere to sit and catch up with friends and family over a drink, whether you’re curled up by the roaring fire or enjoying the amazing mountain views from the floor-to-ceiling windows that allow the light to flood in. Sofas and armchairs are gathered around the TV not far from the crackling log fire, and nearby is a contemporary dining space with statement lighting and comfy dining chairs designed for long, leisurely meals. Wood panelling and sloping ceilings bring character and cosiness to this beautiful, neutral space.

Each of the luxury bedrooms has its own private, well-equipped bathroom so you can enjoy a hot shower or a soak in the tub when you return from the mountain each day. We heartily recommend a dip in the Jacuzzi bath to sort out any aches and pains post ski.

Before you roll into bed each night, head out onto the beautiful terrace that stretches the whole length of the chalet for a nightcap, and to say goodnight to the stars as they twinkle over the town.
