Description

What was once the holy hub for a congregation of local farmers and villagers is now the perfect luxury villa in Umbria for socialising as a family. This 14th century church has been exquisitely restored and converted into a 4-bedroom villa with character and style aplenty.

The church’s original terracotta floors, wooden beams and exposed stonewalls have been preserved wherever possible, giving a sense of the building’s history. On the other hand, light white walls and the plush soft furnishings, with their pretty floral patterns and bright colours, soften the spaces and ensure the villa now feels warm, welcoming and contemporary. The large, open-plan living and dining room which is just off the bright and airy family kitchen is a particular highlight, as is the separate, vaulted-ceiling living room, which was once the chapel.

Echoing the pretty floral patterns inside, the villa’s gardens are brilliantly colourful. Bright fuchsia and green ivy crawls across the authentic stone exterior, and the gardens are full of leafy trees and potted plants. From the swimming pool and its surrounding terrace, enjoy uninterrupted views across the estate’s forested hillsides, or relax on the spectacular decked viewing platform and look out for birds or watch the fiery orange sun set over the valley.

There are several al fresco dining spots, so you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner outside and each with a different view.
